FAQ & Clinic Information

Where are we located?

Building 8, Suite 2, Level 1
49 Frenchs Forest Road
Frenchs Forest NSW 2086

Google Directions >

Please note, Northern Beaches Geriatricians rooms are shared with Northern Beaches Endocrinology.

Is there parking available?

Parking is available outside on the ground floor behind Building 8.  There is also a café within the complex in Building 5 for refreshments.

What to expect?

New appointments usually take 60-90 minutes and can include a general discussion about your health, memory testing and a physical examination.

Follow-up appointments are usually 30-45 minutes.

We will alway endeavour to run on schedule.  Occasionally your appointment may be delayed due to unforeseen circumstances relating to other patients attending our rooms and we apologise for any inconvenience.

What to bring?
  • Referral letter. Please note that a GP referral is valid for 12 months and specialist referral for 3 months.  This is required to claim a Medicare rebate.
  • Medicare card and pension card or DVA card (if relevant)
  • List of current medications
  • Any recent imaging or pathology results
  • Family member or involved carer if you would like. This can assist with clarifying information and developing management plans.
Is it possible to arrange a home visit?

Although our practice has limited capacity to offer comprehensive specialist assessments in private homes, wherever possible we would recommend reviews at the specialist rooms to optimise the assessment.  Please note that assessments in private homes are generally privately billed and we cannot offer a rapid response service.

What happens if I need to cancel or reschedule the appointment for other reasons?

We understand that circumstances can change.  Please always contact us at the earliest convenience for any rescheduling and at least 48 hours prior to your appointment where possible.  This will allow us to offer your appointment time to another patient. Unfortunately, a cancellation fee may need to be charged for non-attendance without prior notice.

What should I do if I am unwell prior to my appointment?

If unwell, please ring to reschedule as early as convenient.
